AI Transparency
At Scovai, we believe in complete transparency about how we use artificial intelligence. This page explains the AI systems we deploy, how they affect you, and the rights you have.
We can name every model we use because one audited gateway routes every AI call: named providers, Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI, under data-processing agreements, with candidate data stored on our own servers in the EEA and API data never used to train their models. A black-box vendor can't tell you what scored you. We can, and do.
1. AI Systems We Use
The following table describes each AI system used in our platform, its purpose, the underlying model, and the level of human oversight applied. Model assignments are managed centrally and audited, and may change as we validate better models.
| System | Purpose | Model | Human Oversight |
|---|---|---|---|
| CV Parsing | Extract structured data from uploaded CVs | Claude (Anthropic) | Parsed data is visible to recruiters; AI scores are advisory only and recruiters make all final decisions |
| Candidate Scoring | Score candidates against job requirements | Claude (Anthropic) | Scores are advisory only; recruiters make all final decisions |
| Assessment Generation | Create skill assessment questions | Claude (Anthropic) | Questions are created as drafts that recruiters review, edit, and explicitly activate before any candidate is invited |
| Interview Analysis | Analyze interview responses | Claude (Anthropic) | Reports supplement but do not replace human interviews |
| Psychometric Analysis | Analyze personality and behavioral assessments | Claude (Anthropic) | Results are one of multiple evaluation factors considered |
| Cognitive Profile Assessment | Measure numerical, verbal, and abstract reasoning abilities via standardized questions | Claude (Anthropic) | Questions are AI-generated; scoring is deterministic against fixed percentile norms (CCAT/ICAR based). AI writes the narrative summary only. |
| Job Matching | Match candidates to open positions | Embedding similarity | Suggestions only; candidates choose whether to apply |
| Job Description Generation | Generate job postings from requirements | Claude (Anthropic) | Fully editable by recruiters before publication |
2. Your Rights Under the EU AI Act
The EU AI Act establishes rules for responsible AI use. As a person affected by AI-assisted decisions in recruitment, you have the following rights:
-
Right to explanation
You have the right to receive clear, meaningful information about AI systems used in decisions that affect you (Art. 13).
-
Right to human oversight
AI systems used in recruitment must operate under meaningful human oversight. No fully automated decisions are made without human review (Art. 14).
-
Right to contest
You have the right to contest any decision that was significantly influenced by AI and to have it reconsidered by a qualified human.
-
Right to non-discrimination
AI systems must be designed and monitored to prevent discriminatory outcomes based on protected characteristics.
3. Your Rights Under GDPR
The General Data Protection Regulation provides you with comprehensive rights regarding your personal data:
-
Right of access
You may request a copy of all personal data we hold about you, including AI-generated assessments.
-
Right to rectification
You may request correction of inaccurate personal data.
-
Right to erasure
You may request deletion of your personal data under certain circumstances.
-
Right to data portability
You may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
-
Right to object
You may object to automated processing of your personal data, including profiling.
-
Right to withdraw consent
You may withdraw your consent to data processing at any time without affecting the lawfulness of prior processing.
-
Right not to be subject to automated decisions
You have the right not to be subject to decisions based solely on automated processing that produce legal or similarly significant effects (Art. 22).
To exercise any of these rights, please visit your privacy settings or contact us directly.
4. Data Protection
-
Candidate data is stored on our own servers in the European Union.
-
AI tasks run on vetted external AI providers, currently including Anthropic (Claude) and OpenAI, under data-processing agreements, subject to those providers' data processing terms. Which provider serves each AI task is centrally configured and audited.
-
No candidate data is shared with third parties for AI model training purposes.
-
Embeddings (numerical representations used for matching) are not human-readable and are used solely for similarity matching.
-
Data retention is governed by platform-level policies in line with applicable data protection regulations.
5. How to Request Human Review
If you believe an AI-generated assessment or decision does not accurately represent you, you may request a human review:
- 1
Log in to your candidate account at Scovai.
- 2
Open the AI-generated result you wish to contest, for example an AI interview report or an assessment result.
- 3
Use the review option on that page ("Request Human Review" on interview results; on assessment results the same channel is labelled "Contact the Recruiter"). For any other AI-assisted decision, contact us using the details in section 6.
- 4
Provide any additional context or information you believe is relevant.
- 5
The hiring company reviews your request; the platform tracks a five-business-day response target on every review request.
